Definitions

Taxable Base Rate- The hourly pay rate on the employees check.

H W- Health and welfare. This plan covers the employee and all dependants. It is administered by a committee comprised of labor and management.

Loc Pen- Local pension plan. Provides your employees with the security of the knowledge that they will live their retirement years in comfort. It is administered by a committee comprised of labor and management.

Nat Pen- National pension plan. It is administered by national SMACNA and SMWIA.

401K- This is an employer 401K that your employees have the option of contributing additional monies on their own. Provides your employees with a supplemental form of retirement that will increase their standard of living. It is administered by a committee comprised of labor and management.

SASMI- Stabilization of the sheet metal industry. This fund contributes to employee welfare in times of economic hardships.

IFUS- Industry fund. Promotion of the sheet metal industry.

Local appr trg- This fund covers costs involved in training and upgrading the skills of your employees. It is administered by a committee comprised of labor and management.

Schlr fund, ITI, NEMI, SMOHI- Provides for college scholarships, Text books, and research on chronic health risks your employees are exposed to on the job.
